Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what personal data we process when you read this website or contact us. This policy is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679).

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to this website and to communications related to it. It does not apply to the use of the AIvantage service as a customer. The data processed in the service is agreed separately in the customer agreement and the data processing agreement.

3. What data we process and why

Contacts by email and telephone

When you contact us, we process the data you provide: name, email address, telephone number, company and job title, and the content of the message. We use the data to respond to your enquiry, to agree on a pilot and an offer, and to manage the customer relationship.

The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in conducting business-to-business communication and sales (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). When you request a pilot or an offer, the legal basis is also taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (point (b)).

Visitor statistics

We measure the number of visitors to the website using the Plausible Analytics service. It reports, in aggregate form, how many visitors the site has, which pages are read and where visitors come from. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not identify individual visitors.

The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in developing the website (Article 6(1)(f)).

Technical delivery of the website

The provider of the website's hosting environment processes the technical data necessary for delivering the page and for information security, such as the IP address and request data.

4. Cookies

The website does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device. Fonts are loaded from the same server as the page.

5. Recipients and processors

We do not sell data or disclose it to third parties for marketing. We use the following service providers, which process data on our behalf:

• GitHub, Inc. (GitHub Pages): website hosting.
• Plausible Insights OÜ (Plausible Analytics, Estonia): visitor statistics. The data is processed in the EU.
• Google (Google Workspace): email.

Contacts are also stored in our customer register.

6. Transfers outside the EU and the EEA

GitHub and Google are US companies, so data may also be processed outside the EU and the EEA. Transfers are based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

This applies only to this website and to email. Customer data processed in the AIvantage service is processed in accordance with the customer's own policy: by default only in Finland and the EU. US or other non-EU model providers are used only if the customer has permitted them. Further details are in the data processing agreement in the terms of service.

7. Retention period

Visitor statistics are aggregated and do not contain personal data. Contacts are retained for as long as they are needed to manage the customer relationship or the sales discussion. We delete them at your request, unless the law requires us to retain them, for example for accounting purposes.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• be informed of what data we process about you, and obtain a copy of it
• request the rectification of inaccurate data
• request the erasure of data or the restriction of processing
• object to processing based on legitimate interest
• receive the data you have provided in a machine-readable format, when the processing is based on a contract

If you consider that your data is being processed unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

9. Automated decision-making

We do not make automated decisions or carry out profiling based on your data that would produce legal effects concerning you or similarly affect you.

10. Information security

The page is delivered over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to the customer register is restricted to those who need the data in their work.

11. Changes

We update this policy when the processing changes. The current version is always available on this page.
